Experienced Hotel Managers required - Front Office, Restaurant and Events

Escarpment Group is looking for experienced Hotel Services Managers to work in the following key departments:-

A. Duty/Guest Services Managers - $55,000-$61,500 pa

Guest Services Managers and must have excellent attention to detail, while being able to see the "big picture" and identify areas for improvements. Min 2-3 years of front office Duty Manager or Guest Services supervisory experience required - using Opera PMS preferably with 4.5 - 5 star Hotel background.

Responsibilities of Front Office Duty/Guest Services managers include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing guest service agents and reception/admin staff performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures
  • Assist reservations and sales departments to up sell or cross sell other services or dining outlets
  • Give personal attention to VIP guests and regular guests to ensure brand loyalty
  • Manage guest arrivals, departures and anticipate guest needs to minimise guest complaints
  • Attend and participate in daily and weekly meetings as part of weekly tasks
  • Co-operate  with the other areas of management particularly Reservations, C&E, Housekeeping, Maintenance and F&B departments to ensure the proper upkeep of the hotels' accommodation including regular property walks and room inspections
  • Ensure all Guest Service staff are conversant with Escarpment Group properties and services and assist sales and reservations to make bookings (up-selling and cross-selling) and convert enquiries from Front desk and reservations HQ
  • Maintain a professional image at all times through uniform presentation, attitude and grooming


B. Reservations & Events Managers: $55,000-$65,000pa

Our central reservations office is seeking experienced Reservations and Events Managers to oversee and manage central reservations and C&E sales/coordination.  

i.  Reservations Manager: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience is required within a 5 star hotel evironment. Demonstrated track record in hotel reservations management (preferably within a central reservations office). Career progression is provided for the rigiht candidate with skills, experience and an eye for details!

ii.  Events Manager:  Seasoned sales professional with Hotel Conference and Events background (preferably within 4-5 star hotel) needed to convert sales enquiries and deliver service excellence across Escarpment Group's properties in NSW. If you are have min 3 years of relevant experience in hotel sales and C&E coordination within a 5 star operating environment and enjoy managing a busy calendar of events, please apply! 


C. Restaurant Managers:  $55,000-$61,300 pa plus super

Are you a skilled and experienced restaurant manager or Food/Beverage professional with min 3-5 years of experience in managing outlets within a 4-5 star hotel?

Are you articulate, well presented and have solid knowledge of food & wine and have hands-on experience in quality establishments?

Do you have the drive to deliver service excellence and train others?

Do you have a stable employment track record - either with 4-5 star hotels and/or premium restaurant outlets?

2. Skilled Chefs/Cooks 

We are seeking experienced Cooks (both line and pastry) and Skilled Chefs/Cooks with 4-5 Star Hotel background and/or have experience in fine dining experience to join our dynamic kitchen brigade.

You will have opportunity to learn and contribute to the success of our restaurants through detailed menu planning and implementation. We pride ourselves in serving seasonal, fresh produce and provide superior service and guest satisfaction. Job tasks and responsibilities

A. Pastry Cooks

You will be responsible for the pastry section of the kitchen working along side our senior CDP chefs and will be responsible for training other kitchen staff whilst overseeing the operation of the pastry section and ensuring quality delivery of all pastry elements of our Menus. 

We require a skilled, reliable and professional pastry cook and/or Chef with minimum 3-5 years of post qualification experience in a quality venue/restaurant. 

B. Skilled Chefs/Cooks

With a number of premium restaurant outlets under Escarpment Group brand we are seeking dedicated and experienced Chefs and/or Cooks with demonstrated skills having worked in quality venues, experience in a fast paced working environment along with organisational skills and experience. Above all we need a positive attitude and commitment to help mentor, train and develop junior/training chefs and kitchen staff.
